How is Kari Podi pronounced?

Kari is the original Tamil word for the English word “Curry”. Hence Kari is said with a rolling R. as “Ka (as in ck) – Ree”. Podi is a tamil word for powder. It is pronounced as “Po (as in post) – dee (as in deed)”

I am concerned about sharing my personal information on your site. Is this safe?

We understand your concerns and know that it is perfectly valid. All cancelled orders, along with your personal information, submitted on the website are deleted after 30 days and all completed orders (along with your personal information) are deleted after 6 months. While we have made every effort (like adding SSL for browser security), we are not impervious to malicious hacking that plagues even then biggest ecommerce sites. Hence we not liable for any theft of personal information by hackers. We will gladly delete your personal information, on request, before the above stipulated timeframe above. If you do not wish to place an order via the site, please send us a text message and we can transact offline or in person.

Do you take custom orders?

Yes absolutely. While we are working on many recipes behind the scenes, we would love to build a custom product for you. Do you have a family recipe you love? We may be able to recreate it. Use this Custom Order page to send in your request. Who knows maybe your family recipe might be a huge hit with others as well.
